Not only will it be low in calories, it will fill you up. The filling effect is mainly due to the high fiber content, with oats having a whopping 11g fiber in every 100g of the stuff. If you’re feeling full you’ll be less likely to eat more food, which obviously leads to weight loss.

Oats are incredibly versatile, meaning you can absolutely bend them to your will. Like fruit? Make some oatmeal with fruit. Like yoghurt? Add some to your oatmeal! How about nuts? Chuck them in tooo!
